You,
however, want a small Sports Utility Vehicle that offers a comfy, safe,
and fun ride. Ford does not disappoint.
How do I
choose the right compact SUV for my particular needs in North East, PA?
Ford offers three compact SUVs that all offer fuel economy and safety.
However, your needs will dictate which compact Ford SUV is right for
you.
Ford offers three Sports Utility Vehicles in
North East, PA that fall into the compact SUV or crossover category: the
Ford EcoSport, the Ford Edge, and the Ford Escape. Keep in mind that
each of these vehicles is eligible for special deals. Financing with
Ford Motor Credit is easy; you may also opt for the Red Carpet lease
program, increasing your savings near Erie.
Ford Ecosport
The Ford
EcoSport is the smallest of the trio of compact SUVs. It is a great SUV
for first-time owners, those with small families, or those who have a
long work commute. The standard engine of the Ford EcoSport is a
1.0-liter turbocharged I-3 engine that offers 123 horsepower as well as
149 lb-ft of torque; this engine is paired with a six-speed automatic
transmission. The EcoSport is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. However, the
EcoSport offers an alternative engine, a 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline
engine that provides 166 horses under the hood; this engine is naturally
aspirated and paired with a six-speed transmission. This version of the
EcoSport is an all-wheel-drive vehicle.
The EcoSport
offers excellent fuel economy, but it is not a vehicle that offers
agility and quickness. However, of the three compact Ford SUVs, if you
need a vehicle with great gas mileage, the EcoSport wins hands down.
The EcoSport offers 20.9 cubic feet of cargo room,
but one can fold down the second row of seats to increase this number to
fifty cubic feet.
Ford Edge
The Ford Edge is the largest of
the three compact Ford SUVs. The standard engine of the Edge is an
EcoBoost 2.0-liter inline-four, paired with an eight-speed automatic
transmission. Typically, the Edge is a front-wheel-drive, but an
all-wheel-drive version is an option on the Edge. An optional engine
choice of the Ford Edge is a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 that puts out 335
ponies under the hood and offers 380 ft-lb of torque. This engine option
can make the Edge easily the most powerful of the three compact SUVs.
Plus, this version of the Edge offers the ability to tow small loads
behind the vehicle. Unfortunately, this also makes the Edge the least
fuel-efficient of the three compact SUVs.
Because it
is larger overall, the Edge can seat more people. This is important if
you have a family of four or five. In addition, the Edge offers more
cargo room with 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space; 73.4 cubic feet of cargo
space when the second row of seats are folded down.
Ford Escape
The Ford Escape is squarely in the middle as far as
size and fuel economy. However, most Escape enthusiasts say that driving
an Escape is like driving a car with the cargo space and the practical
factors of an SUV. The Escape offers seating for up to five adults, and
the cabin space is great for growing families (33.5 cubic feet, 65.4
cubic feet when the second row is folded down).
The
Escape offers a 1.5-liter I-3 engine with an option to choose a
2.0-liter inline four-cylinder. The Escape is quick and agile, no matter
which engine you choose. In addition, the Escape offers excellent fuel
economy, coming in a close second behind the
EcoSport.

to the next level.
